About Us

Midwest Renewable Energy LLC opened as a dry-mill fuel ethanol plant in 2004. Started by a small team of family and friends investors, we have been a staple of the Sutherland and North Platte communities for over 20 years. In order to adapt to the ever evolving markets, we supplied ethanol to hand sanitizer manufacturers during the pandemic and are now producing specialty alcohols for a variety of industrial uses.

We believe that every customer, no matter what size, deserves our time and attention. Unlike large corporations, our small, privately owned company allows us flexibility and attention that can’t be found elsewhere. We love assisting both new and old customers in any way we can!

Having the benefit of being one of the furthest west ethanol plants, yet still being centrally located in the country, we are able to serve customers all over the US. Our location on the mainline UPRR allows for affordable rail shipping, while our Midwest location simultaneously allows for timely and cost-effectively serving customers all over the U.S.​
